The Volunteers

Muster Rolls of the various Rifle and Artillery Volunteers, all of whom were domiciled in Burma.  It is possible to trace the development of units such as the Railway Volunteers through these Rolls

At the moment, a few simple lists of men and women of European ancestry who served in a variety of theatres during the Great War.  We have not yet seen the files, but cannot help being seduced by the names of such units as the Ford Van Company.

The vast majority of the men found on these pages were recruited in Burma.
